2024 Bee Well Blooms Flower CSA FAQs

1. What is a CSA?

Bee Well Blooms’ flower CSA (stands for Community Supported Agriculture) runs similarly to a veggie CSA. By purchasing a share in the offseason, you help us purchase supplies for the upcoming season including seeds and seed starting supplies, new garden infrastructure, and more.  This year, we are using the CSA income to build our big walk in cooler at the new farm which will allow us to grow and store more flowers than ever!

2. How are the bouquets packaged?

We wrap our bouquets in a compostable hand-stamped Kraft paper.

3. I plan to be away frequently this summer… will the CSA still work for me?

If you plant to be gone a lot this summer, our CSA might not be for you. However, we do allow each CSA member one makeup bouquet in the event that your share falls on a week that you will be out of town.  All makeup bouquets will be made up at the end of the season.

4. What will I receive in my share?

A typical share is a large bouquet of our best, locally and sustainable grown cut flowers.  A perfect treat for yourself, the office, or a gift for a loved one

5. Is there a CSA pickup option for farmers market customers?

Yes! For our Lansdale customers please choose Lansdale Farmers Market Pickup at checkout.

6. I love a specific flower can I make a special request for my bouquet?

No we cannot customize individual bouquets. We use a nice mix of whatever is growing on the farm that week.

7. Once purchased can I cancel my subscription?

We understand that things happen and life does not always go according to plan. If for whatever reason you purchase a share and cannot accept it come summertime, please let us know as soon as possible.

8. How do I care for my fresh flowers?

Upon receiving your flowers, give them a fresh cut and place them in a clean vase filled with water.  Change the water frequently (ie every 1-2 days) and give the stems a fresh cut when you can.  Some flowers last longer than others so I usually pluck out those that are fading and enjoy the rest.

9. When is pickup day?

CSA day is on Tuesdays. We send a reminder email each week before it’s time to pick up.
